VoiceOver, Narrator, and larger text
Avlok works with VoiceOver on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, and with Narrator on Windows, and each photo says what is in it, not just “photo”.
Photos that describe themselves
Section titled “Photos that describe themselves”As you move through the Library, a search, or a Seek answer, each photo is read as its date, the place, the people you have named in it, and a short description:
Photo, June 20, 2026, San Francisco, Sam and Stef. A lake with ducks.
Open a photo and you hear the whole description, along with any words written in it, such as a sign or a receipt. With VoiceOver or Narrator on, the controls on an open photo stay on screen instead of fading, so Close, Share, and the rest are always within reach.
Where the description comes from
Section titled “Where the description comes from”From what Avlok already knows about the photo. Nothing new is collected for this.
- Date, place, named people, and words in the photo are worked out on your device, for everyone.
- The sentence that says what the photo shows comes with Cloud AI Access (included with Pro and Family). Without it, you hear the date, place, people, and words in the photo.
Larger text and motion
Section titled “Larger text and motion”Avlok follows the text size you set on your device, including the largest accessibility sizes, and a page that grows taller than the screen scrolls. Reduce Motion and Reduce Transparency in your system settings are always followed.
Tell us what is hard to use
Section titled “Tell us what is hard to use”We are working through the app screen by screen. If something is hard to reach, or does not say what it is, write to support@avlok.ai.
